GOAL #42 Complete

Goal # 42 Complete - Hike Ice Caves

As beautiful as this amazing experience was, it was the first time I was actually frightened. As I wiggled through the tight crevasses, the constant cracking of the ice was a little unnerving. All I could think was think that if the ice moved, that I would be in a terrible mess.
My guide was amazing and very patient with me and my nerves. He did his best to fill me with confidence as he explained all the work and preparation he and the crew put into the safety side of things at the Matanuska Glacier. And to be fair, they are very proactive in doing everything to ensure safety and fun. I was just a bit of a scaredy cat! Doesn't happen often, but this was one of the few times it did.

Goal #48 Complete - Visit the Seven Magic Mountains

I visited this artistically fun roadside attraction with my good friend, Mandi, and we enjoyed the warmth of the desert air on our skin as we checked out these vibrant giants. Call me crazy, but I love this kind of thing.

GOAL #17 Complete

Goal #17 Complete - Hang with Reindeer

I'm not going to lie, this is by far one of my favorite things that I've done. The staff at the Reindeer farm in Palmer, AK, are great, and not only allow you to visit with and feed the Reindeer, they send you away with a whole wealth of knowledge on Santa's furry helpers.
These reindeer are so domesticated that they are used in movies, and events such as Fur Rondy where they outshine humans in the running with the reindeer.
And just for the record, Santa's reindeer aren't a bunch of guys that pick on Rudolf. Oh no ho ho! They are actually females. Male Reindeer shed their antlers in the winter and are antler free by Christmas.
